The lazy yogi Spirituality Challenge
“When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.” ~ Lao Tzu
This is a challenge to let go of what you think you are so that you may awaken to what you always have been.
The Spirituality challenge is made up of three weeks, each with its own theme. There is a weekly curriculum and a daily curriculum. The point of this isn’t to learn more ideas for your mind but rather to practice the techniques so you will feel and experience.
You have the rest of your life to learn but what is the point until you know why you are learning. Once you have tasted Being, you’ll know what to look for.
—Weekly Curriculum—
—Daily Curriculum—
Week One: Mindfulness and Zen
Wednesday: 8/1 - Fool’s Tricks
Thursday: 8/2 - Nourishing with Mindfulness
Saturday: 8/4 - Neutral Feelings
Week Two: Tantra and Taoism
Friday: 8/10 - Object meditation
Saturday: 8/11 - The Great Tao
Week Three: Mahayana Buddhism
Tuesday: 8/14 - What is Compassion?
Thursday: 8/16 - Interdependence
Friday: 8/17 - Happiness without a Hangover
Saturday: 8/18 - The Bodhisattva
Every day and week will be updated as we progress. I will be tracking the tag #lazyyogispiritualitychallenge.
If you write a journal entry and wish for me to read it on your blog, simply post it with that tag. I promise I will read every one.
This is my first time doing something like this so we’ll all figure it out together.
Namaste, Sangha.
