Two questions: One, did you find it better meditating at night vs. in the morning?? Two, is there a term for being high off life? I don't know how better to put it but I had a single situation occur when I was completely drug or alcohol free and in those couple minutes, I was high. I literally felt this euphoric uplifting happiness high feeling that one gets from things like MDMA happening. Is this reaching a higher level of something? Anything to help clarify would be great. Thanks! :)
I don’t have anything conclusive about morning vs. night just yet. I’m still trying it out and haven’t been doing it long enough to see actual results or changes. I’ll be sure to share what I find out, though!
As for the high, it isn’t uncommon. But people get so focused on being high. Oh it’s a drug high, or oh it’s a natural high. People are always trying to go up high and avoid low. By nature being high creates a low. Again, this isn’t uncommon. In fact, it’s a stepping stone.
The euphoria you feel is a stepping stone to peace. You learn from this euphoria how everything is benign, everything is love, and empty of true form other than your being. But euphoria doesn’t last. It’s phase. People make the mistake of trying to chase the euphoria. Don’t. You want peace not bliss, remember that.
Enjoy the euphoria and learn to see the world through that lens. When it goes, let go. Euphoria will come and go as it pleases on the spiritual path but don’t think of it as levels being attained because that would be an illusion.
Just keep meditating and keep doing your thing. If good feelings come then wonderful. If bad feelings come then let them move through you like water. The dance of feeling and emotion will never become anything more than what it is. In meditation, you discover the peace of Being, which evades description. All we can do is point at it.
Namaste.
