nightbepeace asked: I just started summer break and I'm back staying with my mother for the summer for the first time in 3 years. We clash a lot and I get highly irritated being around her. Anger high and everything. I meditate and lead a spiritual life, but I have to say that this one area, this particular relationship makes it seem as if I'm just full of ego. And my ego is never more evident than when...

the-freedom-man asked: I asked you the process of becoming a Bodhisattva and you didn't answer. However, I find that only now am I the right mindset to see this answer. I am wholly willing to give myself to the world around me, surrender my hate, my anger, my desires-- I will to become a Bodhisattva. Which I have said as a hypocrite for too long. So this is my rebuttal. There was no question before because I knew...

themiddlepane asked: To fully let go of myself, it seems that I also have to fully let go of everything I love including my wife, kids, family, and friends. I have to essentially let who I am die in order to be at one with everything. If I die, does that love die? Or is love a passing emotion and just something else that I hang on to longer than I should?

atreatiseonself-inquiry asked: Buddhism and perhaps other similar philosophies consider the human experience (especially that of thoughts and physical sensations) as delusions. Recently I read that nihilism has almost the same exact view. Am I wrong in thinking buddhism is like nihilism in that way? Am I wrong about buddhism being the way I described it? Or is it actually like nihilism?

Went to my usual local spiritual shop to discover it is closing down! 30% percent off everything was pretty legit. I talked with the people and we exchanged contact info since they plan on continuing their business elsewhere.  Such is life! I picked up a few inexpensive things for a traveling altar. Heading back into NYC soon to stay at my aunt’s for the week while I continue to work this...
