Gender is a human thing. Gender only is relevant when we have a body. But does the soul have a gender?

Like every other part of human experience, gender must be transcended. Even forgotten. That is the true union and bliss of sex. When male and female loses its boundary between one another.

In tantra, there is a technique called gender integration. That is when you take your male self and female self and bring them together in orgasm. This is just one of many ways of learning to move beyond gender roles and identities.

Transgendered people are an interesting idea. On one level, I can see how gender-bending can help break a person away from the paralyzing false dichotomy of male/female.

But for a person who feels they are the wrong gender, they are still confused. Because they think they are their gender. Gender is not YOU.

Perhaps this can be explained by chemistry, life, or karma. It doesn’t matter because the remedy is still the same.

You must go beyond gender. If you feel the need to change your appearance, no one should stop you. But these are surface changes. Male, female, it’s all equally illusory.

Meditation will show you your real self. Then you don’t worry about your gender, body, form, thoughts, or feelings. You know yourself without definition.

Namaste. :)
