fauxer asked: Is meditating a "requirement" for improving one's spirituality?

What we call meditation is the act of sitting comfortably with the eyes closed and becoming the witness of whatever enters your realm of experience.

No judgement, no loss of attention, just intense presence.

This state can be entered at any time and during any activity. But meditation involves a mild form of sensory deprivation and thereby makes the benefits greater and the difficulties more evident.

Meditation is not a requirement, there are many paths. But all paths involve a meditative state of existence, of being.

Meditation is the best technique out there, from my experience. And that is all I can say. You may find others that vibe more with your path.

But when you get far enough down any path, they all meet. Sooner or later you will end up meditating, celebrating, abandoning, devoting, worshipping, and basking. It just happens to those who walk the Way.

Spirituality cannot be ‘improved’ as you put it. It is a song. You either join the melody in harmony, or waste your time just thinking about the melody.

It doesn’t matter if you are an amateur at your instrument, no one is there to judge how beautiful your harmony may sound. All that matters is that you put down the mind and take up the instrument of the heart. From there, you will learn all the notes you need to hit. :)

Namaste, my friend. Much love.
