The Lazy Yogi

It is endlessly interesting and useful to be able to flick through the thoughts that are bubbling to the surface of the many minds here on tumblr. There are trends that I will see on tumblr and then observe reflected in the world around us. 

Right now there is a lot of angst between identifications. People who don’t remember what they really are have become militant toward one another. Sometimes that militancy is under the guise of tolerance; othertimes it is sadly obvious. 

Jews and muslims, men and women, hindus and hare krishnas and buddhists, vegetarians and meat eaters, parents and children, many things. 

Now I’m starting to see the first tremors of birthing pains. It begins with an escalation of this conflict. 

And finally it makes sense: we are halfway through 2012 and the Summer Solstice is next week. This year is crucial, important, and inevitable. The ludicrous nature of our delusions is growing to the point in which it cannot be maintained. Delusion will collapse sooner or later. 

After the Summer Solstice, it feels like there will be an end to this shift. Perhaps the conflict will lessen for a time. Some people may find tremendous peace and self-revelation. I don’t pretend to know anything but the signs are there until the next shift and the next tremor. 

There is nothing to be done or analyzed about this. 2012 is a great wave that surges forth. You can get sucked under the currents and thrash and resist the flow; or you can surf this beast. Regardless, it will dump us all onto the next shore together, soaked and laughing.
