Our soul is like the sun; it is self-contained and shining on its own. That is our true existence. Our body is like the earth; it is nourished and given life by the sun. The only reason we feel and experience this body is because the sun of our awareness shines upon it.
This body is a vehicle, a way of helping us to remember ourselves as the sun itself rather than the body. Therefore we are not the things we experience: the body, the mind, thoughts, feelings, experiences, desires, etc. All of those things come from the sun’s existence.
Through the practice of meditation, all will return to the sun of the Self. Namaste!
