7 Days of Celebration

Tantra and Taoism

These are two curious schools of spirituality. One is often misunderstood while the other is too obvious to understand. Together they make quite a pairing in my opinion.

While our previous week emphasized zen and practical techniques, this week will emphasize the life-affirming and vivacious quality of the spiritual way.

Tantra has no universal doctrine but rather pushes for self-realization by any means necessary. Tantric paths range from naked cemetery-dwelling yogis to the Dalai Lama.

Taoism has no universal doctrine but instead draws attention to naturalness and harmony.

Both will receive more detailed explanation as the week goes on.

This week’s curriculum:

1) Wake up in the morning with a laugh.

2) Find 15 minutes to meditate each day.

3) Practice presence and mindfulness whenever possible.

4) Put on some music and dance around in the evening before bedtime. (This will be explained more later)

Also, don’t forget to check back for the daily exercises as well!
