Today is Yom Kippur in the jewish tradition. It is a day for atonement and remembrance.
While the rest of my family goes to temple, I will be visiting my father’s grave for some more meditation and prayer.
Atonement, forgiveness, whatever you want to call it, is a way of coming to terms with the present as a result of the past. Where there is forgiveness, there is no past.
May all our minds be washed from dwelling on the past and be brought into peaceful acceptance of Life as it is Now.
Namaste, sangha.
